5. ITALY Honeymoon Season: April - October

Everything about Italy defines the word "Romantic". The Italian people have a love for all things beautiful, and they love people in love.

A long country shaped like a boot, a little like Florida only quite a bit longer and wider. There are 4 distinct areas: Northern Italy including the Lake Area, Venice and Milan. Mid-Italy includes Florence and Tuscany. The Capital area with Rome and the outlying towns. Southern Italy includes Naples, the Amalfi Coast and the offshore islands, most famous of which are Capri and Sardinia.

Unless you're going for months and months, you can't possibly take in this fascinating country on one honeymoon. With our help we can help identify which areas would be of the ones for the two of you to focus on for your honeymoon.

$4,000 - $8,500 per couple (7-14 Days) Book Early: 6 - 9 months ahead especially for the Amalfi Coast.

Northern Italy: the beautiful areas with miles and miles of lakes that make up most of Italy's border with Switaerland are known as the Lake Region. Some of Italy's most beautiful and quaint little hotels dot the shores of this huge lake region. You can even ferry over to Switzerland for the day. Beth loves this one tiny island which has nothing but this one restaurant, which you get to by boat and where you'll enjoy dancing and dinner with the whole shoreline of Switzerland lit up on one side, and Italy on the other.

Go about a hundred miles southeast to Venice -the legendary series of islands off the shore of mainland Italy. With its canals, everything is done by boat or walking. The romantic thing is to take a gondola ride with the gondolier serenading you Italian love songs as you float through canals, passing by open-air restaurants and cafes. Explore the local stores, see the lace makers, art galleries, movie stars, take in the outdoor cafés and terrace restaurants, concerts. Milan is also situated in the Northern region - known for being Italy's headquarters for industry, finance, and fashion. This is where the work gets done.

Hotel Villa Franca
Hotel Le Sirenuse
In a commanding position over the white-sand landscape the Hotel Villa Franca spans the horizon, offering magical visions of the breathtaking poetical nature of tings. There is the immediate warm and welcoming atmosphere of the old seigneurial villa architecturally re-designed and decorated by Vivai del Sud of Rome: tiled floors, stone from Vesuvius, lacquered terracotta vases typify the surroundings and blend in with the original architecture in which white predominates.
The hotel "Le Sirenuse" in Positano was opened in 1951 and gradually expanded to its present size. Originally, it was the summer house of a noble Neapolitan family, the Marchesi Sersale, to whom the Hotel currently belongs. Its nucleus is an old patrician house where the Presidential suite, the drawing rooms and the bar are located. The new rooms and suites have been arranged all around this area. In fact all rooms and the reception are still furnished, wherever possible, as a big and comfortable private home where the old blends with the new to combine the r\tradition and the way of life of yesterday with the comforts of today.
