6. FRANCE Honeymoon Season: April - October

The Travel Channel voted Paris the most romantic city in the world for honeymooners (Venice, Italy was second). While the French adore the women, you'll both be impressed by the total range of rustic and sophistication, abundant water and soaring architecture. You just can't keep your guard up in a place like this.

So, what are our favorites? Start with Paris - the Left and Right Banks. The grandeur of the Arc de Triumphe illuminated against the night sky. Views that stretch for miles below the Eiffel Tower. The grace of Notre Dame and Sacre Coeur. The gems of the Loeuvre and the Musee d'Orsay. The art crowd and Bohemian atmosphere, cafes, clubs, and small hotels and inns of the Left Bank. The splendor of the gardens, banks, luxury restaurants hotels of the Right Bank - for a price, you can stay in a restored 500-year old palace hotel with rooms the size of Cleveland!

Beyond Paris - head for the chateau and wine region - Actually stay in beautiful old chateaus with moats and lakes with swans. Then go further south to eat and drink your way through the Provence region - quaint towns with vineyards, inns with wine cellars. The last region you'll hit is the French Riviera from Nice to Cannes and St. Tropez -with fabulous beaches, and rugged coastline -imagine a sparkling diamond necklace at night along the Mediterranean.

Paris and the French Riviera abound in enough romantic atmospheres to keep the two of you spellbound for up to two weeks.

$4,000 - $9,000 per couple (8-12 Days)
