Travel Is My Life
- The world has been my playground my whole life because my dad
was an airline pilot and took our family overseas on five to ten
vacations a year. I loved our family's trips to Europe, especially
Italy, Greece, the French Riviera and Switzerland. To this day
my favorite place in Europe is the Amalfi Coast of Italy and the
Island of Capri. This is the most romantic, quaint section in
all of Italy.
After college, I worked for
the airlines, and this gave me the opportunity to explore
the Caribbean. I took to the beaches, snorkeling, and diving like
a true water baby. Since I'm a real beach lover, my favorites
here are Anguilla with its fabulous beaches, the Turks and Caicos
where the beaches go on forever, and the British Virgin Islands,
which consist of numerous little islands with dreamy beaches.
When I became a travel agent after my tenure
with the airlines, I'd make trips at least once a year to Hawaii,
Europe and the Caribbean. I've made over 400 trips to Romantic
Destinations, and my favorites to this day are still the Hawaiian
islands - they're the most romantic place on earth - which
I loved so much I chose it for my honeymoon. It has it all - the
beaches, the scenery, the water, the Polynesian culture, the nightlife.
In my travels, I view each destination critically, exploring and
assessing the features that most appeal to honeymooners. This
gives me a constantly updated internal database.
During our interview, I'm constantly processing
your answers to my questions to come up with the top recommendations
for your perfect honeymoon. My clients swear I'm psychic because
I match you perfectly to just the right honeymoon destination.
I learned the principles of travel management
at two of the best known names in the business, American Express
Travel, and AAA (American Automobile Association) Worldwide Travel
Department. I opened my own agency in 1981 so I could give more
personal service and specialize in honeymoons and island weddings.
I felt honeymooners need more time and care with their planning.
People always ask me, "What's the
biggest mistake in planning?" I tell them most couples need
to budget higher for the honeymoons. Many men tell me, "It's
just another vacation, we have a home to buy, new furniture, and
the stock market to invest in. I don't want to spend a lot on
the honeymoon". My answer to them is, unlike any other trip
you'll ever take in your life, your honeymoon is an investment.
The memories and experience appreciate over time. Having a
wonderful honeymoon is absolutely best way to start off your marriage!
